I am upholstering an ‘old chevrolet truck’. Through a few tuorials I will show how its ‘old parts’ are restored and upholstered. At the end of this project we will see the ‘old truck’ completely transformed and customized.

@IAMLOU83, from Great Britain (England)…thanks for asking!!!…In this case I have glued the leather piece to the plastic dashboard with the yellowish glue shoemakers and upholsterers use. It could be also tacked to the back by using those ‘hard staples’ with a ’staple gun’.
did you use a backing glue all over the back of the dash or just stretch it over and tack the edges? thanks in advance! :)
@killerscum01, from England,…Thanks for asking!!! …Don’t glue the leather back!..Attach the leather-piece, just by some points of glue on the edges all around…then sew it close to the edges too. To do this attachment better you could use an over-sewing machine. Good Luck!
when doing say a car seat, do you use scrim foam? and if so do you glue it to the back of the leather or do you just sew it close to the edge?
Hi Zash82 from Finland, Yes!!! I will do it…greetings from Mexico. :)
